GERMAN WWI BAVARIAN PILOTS BADGE AND PAPERWORK.

A superb quality Bavarian Pilots Badge, which has been produced in the fretted style, this is a hollow back example, which generally indicates that it is a post WWI acquisition, what is a huge difference is that this is manufacturer fretted and not fretted out afterwards by a jeweller, the detail of the fretting especially of the aeroplane itself is absolutely superb, the detail is exquisite. Complete with its Bavarian crown, original pin, hook and hinge. Accompanied by the original pilots license, with a photograph of the recipient wearing enlisted ranks uniform, the name is ‘Georg Pemsel’ from Nuremberg, the front cover reads ‘FLIEGER AUSWEIS NO.374’ he was a member of Flieger Abteilung 2, also accompanied by his Third Reich period DAF work card with a photograph in civil dress, issued in October 1934 and one WWI period postcard sent by Pemsel in 1917 showing him with a group of colleagues. Magnificent small group.
