BRITISH WWII 2ND PATTERN FS MARKED FAIRBAIRN SYKES KNIFE.

Nice condition overall, the tip is slightly re-profiled with the remains of the ‘FS Fighting Knife’ and ‘Wilkinson Sword’ logos to both sides of the upper part of the blade close to the cross guard. All finish remaining to the nickel plated hilt with slight rubbing around the upper pommel area. Fitted into its scabbard, it would appear that the tip to the scabbard has been plated with slight loss. The leather scabbard dry and frail with the leg straps removed and the remains of the leather hilt closing strap still visible but the strap is missing. The cross guard is marked with the broad arrow with the number ‘56’.
