Model 1908 cap, dark blue cloth, red centre band and red piping to the crown. Black patent leather peak. Complete with its correct Reich and Oldenburg cockades. Light brushed cotton lining, artificial leather sweatband with the owner’s initials ‘JSCH’ stamped into the sweatband. Maker stamp of ‘Heinrich Meyer’ silver blocked into the crown with a hand applied name, what appears to be ‘Schwahn’ to the upper inner crown. Nice good shape. The 91st Oldenburg Infantry Regiment was the only infantry regiment in the small state of Oldenburg and was part of the 10th Army Corps.
