BRITISH PRE WWI HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY OTHER RANKS SHAKO.
An extremely nice example of the other ranks Highland Light Infantry shako. All dark blue body is without any damage, very minor moth tracking to the nap only on one small area of the crown. The helmet is complete with its red, white and blue diced band around the lower edge. Slight crazing to the peak, with its correct wool green pompom, thistle ornament to the circular woven button with officers quality HLI badge affixed. Marked inside as an other marked with WD mark for two year service with its original ‘F.Jacobson’ makers label dated ‘13th March 1900’. The sweatband is intact complete with its rare and delicate leather chinstrap.
