GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FLAK PAPER GROUPING.
A nice award document grouping of six award certificates, an SA Sports Badge book and a very good studio portrait of Oberwachtmeister Kurt Bahr wearing all of his decorations. He fought in Luftwaffe Heavy Flak units in the northern sector of the Eastern Front and was most particularly closely involved with the fighting in and around the Demjansk pocket. Iron Cross 2nd class dated ‘1st February 1942’ mint, A5 size, unfolded, signed by Dr. Steven as Oberst and Commander of Luftwaffe with Army Group North. War Service Cross 2nd class with Swords citation, A5 size, once folded dated ‘1s January 1942’ pen signed by General Bogatsch Knights Cross Winner, General of Flyers and General of the Luftwaffe, awarded the Knights Cross 20.3.1942. Ground Combat Badge of the Luftwaffe A5 size, mint condition, once folded, dated ‘19th November 1942’ signed on behalf of General of Flyers Bogatsch. The hard to find Luftwaffe Flak Combat Badge, A5 size, mint condition, signed on behalf of General of Flyers Bogatsch, dated ‘5th February 1942. Winter Medal in the East, dated ’28.8.1942’ signed by an unidentified Oberleutnant, mint condition, unfolded. Medal for the 1st Oktober 1938, twice folded, excellent condition, signed on half of General Major Mayer, General Officer Commanding Luftgau 6. Sports Badge book with a photograph of Bahr in RAD uniform, undated printed short letter to Bahr from Commanding Officer of the German Labour Service concerning his award of the SA Sports Badge. A very fine studio portrait of Bahr as an Oberfeldwebel wearing all of his decorations with dedication on the reverse side dated ‘1943’. A superb grouping with two full A4 size pages of in-depth text and research relating to the units he was involved with 13th Flak Regiment, 411th Flak Regiment, 151st Flak Regiment, 2nd Flak Division, 6th Flak Division with all their areas of service and combat involvements.
