GERMAN WWII TROPICAL OFFICER BELT IN EARLY GREEN WEB.

The scarce early olive green web material belt with its officers circular olive drab painted buckle. The belt at some stage has been used as a souvenir belt, there are various puncture holes where souvenir badges have been fixed, possibly by a British soldier. Aluminium buckle in good condition, minor paint losses to the buckle. Any of the web equipment in the early green is much harder to obtain than the later lighter shade. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
