GERMAN WWII ARMY CAMOUFLAGE TAN AND WATER SNIPER SMOCK.

A highly interesting in construction terms of an army tan and water smock with its original sniper veil. Constant viewers of our web site and previous catalogues would have taken note of our constant references to the construction of both army and SS camouflage items whereby small sections of the garments are of a totally different camouflage pattern or tone than the main body of the garment. Normally we have not encountered this with army sniper smocks before but this particular piece is an exception. The main body of the garment in the standard tan and water pattern to both the front and back and half of the upper sleeves, both sleeves have been constructed in three different sections of camouflage material all slightly different, the right hand sleeve being of very distinct differences with a white print line on the middle section of camouflage. The hood is also of course tan and water but is of a darker variety than the main body, fitted to the hood is the original camouflage sniper veil. The smock still has all its original manufacturers closure tapes. There are some minor small nicks to the material of the main body to the lower front just below the closure cord. It is RB numbered faintly to the interior of one of the access pocket flaps. The material used in the area of the opening of the smock to allow the wearer to cover himself, the edges are also of a different colour camouflage than the main body. All original paper buttons to the cuffs are present with again the adjustable closure tabs being of totally different camouflage than the sleeves themselves.
