GERMAN WWII INFANTRY OFFICER CANDIDATE MISMATCHED SHOULDER BOARDS.

A pair of mismatched shoulder boards that has definitely worn as a pair by an officer candidate in a Waffen SS infantry unit. Both shoulder boards are the slip-on variety, one has white wool piping, the other one has white silk piping. Both have identical twin rows of rank lace at the base of each board. To the wool board the white is slightly discoloured where the black has flooded into the white, the silk piped board is more discoloured through, again, the black base material flooding onto the white edging. Both slip-on tabs are present.
