GERMAN WWII ARMY ARTILLERY NCO’S PARADE TUNIC.

The tunic is constructed in NCO’s quality field grey green cloth with stitch-in shoulder boards of an artillery NCO with red wool piping, Company slip-on numbers of ‘33’ to each shoulder board. Evidence of numbers, which appear to be ‘38’ to the dark green centre of the shoulder board that have been unstitched, this possibly meant that the Senior NCO was transferred. Dark green collar, red centred Bevo woven collar patches on a section of uniform cloth attached to the dark green collar. Silver lace to the collar. An NCO’s Bevo woven breast eagle to the upper left breast. Two row of Der Spiess lace to each lower sleeve. Three loops for a short medal ribbon bar and two sets of two loops each for two awards to the lower right breast. It would appear that this Senior NCO has had the tunic specifically tailored for himself without the adornments of a standard parade tunic, the tunic has not been altered in any way and this is its original configuration. Very nicely marked to the interior with sizes, depot issue stamp ‘M35’ with the markings of ‘2./A.R.33’ with a Roman numeral sizing ‘I’ below. Number ‘305’ is stamped into the back panel of the tunic. An internal sword or dagger hanger has been stitched in and a hole tailored through the horizontal seam that runs the full circumference of the tunic. An interesting Der Spiess tunic.
