GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A very nice condition saddle shape officers visor cap constructed in officer quality material. Silver waffenfarbe to the crown, upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band, fitted with a matched set of untouched silver bullion wire Luftwaffe eagle and matching cockade. Standard officers cap cords in wire, matching side buttons. The peak is the commonly encountered version with the double ribbed edge. Some slight crazing to the finish of the visor. Two minor nicks to the silver waffenfarbe surrounding the crown of the cap. One small moth nick on the rear overhang where the material meets the mohair centre band. The interior of the front peak is the green cross hatched version. The sweatband is of the slightly larger grey leather with its interior orange cushion in the forehead area, which quite commonly solidifies or liquefies, this is in its correct untouched form. The interior grey rayon lining untouched with a complete centre celluloid lozenge with the silver printed logo underneath the celluloid ‘Verkaufs-Abteilung Der Luftwaffe Berlin SW65’. Large size with its original size ticket stamped ‘57’ sewn into the join of the liner on the interior rear of the cap.
