A good group of three citations comprising the Black Wound Badge, East Front Medal and the Demjansk Shield to Gefreiter Theo Hesk. Winter Medal in the East, awarded 22nd July 1942, A5 size, punch holed. Wound Badge in Black, A5 size, standard issue citation awarded 19th September 1941, punch holed. A5 heavy card citation awarded 31st December 1943, also punch holed, one stain to the Denjansk Shield. Facsimile signature to the Denjansk Shield of the General of the Division, other two citations pen signed by Company Commanders, complete with a 1947 certificate of clearance, issued by Allied Military Government in 1947 in Dusseldorf. The 12th Infantry Division fought in Poland 1939, France 1940 and was one of the Divisions deceased in Denjansk March 1942 and in 1944 was the 12th Volks Grenadier Division and took part in the battle of the Hurtgenwald Forest and the Ardennes campaign.
