BRITISH PRE WWI VICTORIAN LAST PATTERN SHAKO TO THE CAMERONIANS THE SCOTTISH RIFLES.
A very good example of the green cloth bodied shako with black and brass fittings including the strung bugle horn badge of the Light Infantry to the front of the helmet. The regimental knotted boss badge above the strung bugle horn is missing, all of the other woven crossed weave fittings are present to the helmet. The shako is complete with its original light tan leather liner, which is good, some slight stitching loss to the inner rear of the helmet, with its original chinstrap, this is rare to obtain, the chinstraps are very frail on these shakos and quite often are missing. Standard leather peak. Correct green plume. No moth damage to the wool covering of the shako at all.
