GERMAN WWII AIRFIELD WOODEN SIGN.

A fabulous relic of WWII being a section of wood 76cm x 20cm in yellow and light blue with the wording to both sides ‘FLIEGERDECKUNG’. One side good and clear, the other side faint. Apparently this was removed from a German airfield close to Milan, Italy. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
