GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE GRAVITY KNIFE LANYARD. ONE CLIP MISSING.

The scarce piece of equipment being the Luftwaffe/paratrooper gravity knife lanyard, normally found clipped into one of the lower pockets of the flying suit with the opposite end attached to the gravity knife. On this example one clips is missing. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
