GERMAN WWI M17 COMBAT HELMET.

A very good condition Si62 size shell, M17 combat helmet retaining virtually all of its apple green finish with rust bleed in areas that can be seen on our web images. The helmet is untouched to the interior, still with its M.17 steel liner band. The three light cream/white leather pads are present and secure to the liner band. To one of the leather pads the two tips are missing and there is a tear to the leather, which also is through to the horsehair pad below with the horsehair showing through, the two other liner sections all intact with their inner horsehair pads. Faint traces of a pencilled name to the interior rear skirt. M.16 and 17 helmets in plain green in this condition are becoming extremely hard to obtain. All liner retaining rivets intact and untouched.
