GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE GENERAL’S WHITE TOP CAP EAGLE.

An ultra rare heavy gold bullion wire woven eagle hand embroidered on white backing for fitting to the Luftwaffe General’s white top summer cap with removable top. At one stage in its life this eagle would have had a backing plate sewn to it, unfortunately that is missing. On close inspection there appears to be a single break in the bullion wire between the head of the eagle and the main body, this is only noticeable when slightly bending the eagle, when lying flat it is hardly apparent.
