GERMAN WWII TURKISTAN VOLUNTEER SHOULDER BOARDS.

A rare virtually identical pair of Turkistan Volunteer shoulder boards, both have the light blue artificial silk piping, the piping itself on both boards match exactly in weave pattern and colour, the centre of both boards is identical in weight, cloth and colour in dark bottle green, the weave of the buttonhole is slightly different on each board. On the reverse of one shoulder board is a section of the Reichsbahn light blue cloth, which has been used as underlay material, much Reichsbahn material was used in the production of some of the Eastern Volunteer uniforms. The boards are slightly different size in length but the same with width.
