GERMAN WWII TROPICAL 2ND PATTERN ARTILLERY OFFICERS TUNIC.
A virtually unused condition 2nd pattern tropical tunic. Good upper medium size that would easily fit a mannequin. Standard configuration of four pockets without pleats but with all flaps, five button front closure, open collar wear, adjustable button cuffs with both of the cuff adjuster buttons missing, Interesting configuration of insignia to this tunic, a set of the subdued grey lace centred slip-on shoulder boards for an artillery leutnant with the collars fitted with the late war very unusual Bevo woven artillery officers collar patches with standard embroidered woven red centres. Interestingly the yarn used to affix the collar patches to the tunic is exactly the same manufacture and colour as the tunic yarn. All late war buttons, dark blue grey fitted. The breast eagle is of the standard Bevo woven tropical type in light blue on tan, all cross hatch stitched, interestingly the eagle is a 1st pattern eagle, the tunic was constructed in 1944 and the producers have obviously used up stocks of early pattern eagles. Profusely size stamped and issue stamped to the interior of the tunic with RB numbers, size stampings and the designation ‘WH 44’.
