U.S. WWII HUGE SIZE ARMY AIR FORCE OFFICERS CAP.

A very nice example of the chocolate European theatre Army Air Force officers cap. No moth damage or staining. Complete with its stitched attached wool centre band, wide leather chinstrap. Soft crushable peak. Eagle badge in beautiful gilt with matching side buttons. Complete with its leather sweatband. Full silk-like rayon lining marked ‘The Finchley Establishments, 5th Avenue’. We have never encountered such a huge size cap, we cannot imagine anybody having a head large enough, size label of 8 and one quarter, whether it has been made for a shop display or for another reason we can only speculate, however a lovely cap.
