GERMAN WWI NAVY BREAD BAG.

Although this model was issued and used pre WWI these were also used during WWI by naval troops engaged in land combat, this is of typical construction with a thick very wide shoulder strap and a single button closure to the front. Profusely stamped to the interior with clear ‘BAW’ (clothing depot Wilhelmshaven) with a date of ’15.5.07’ as well as various unit markings being ‘HN2 630’ and a printed German name tape sewn in place. The bag is in the pre war reddish brown heavy canvas material that has faded in places. Some minor staining however no rips, tears or damage. A rare item of equipment.
