A very good condition and extremely rare C.E.Juncker 3rd pattern zinc produced army paratrooper badge. This example matches in every detail the item photographed in high definition on pages 462 and 463 of the excellent work Luftwaffe and Army Paratrooper Badges by Thomas M. Durante. Short barrel hinge, round wire catch, two delicate domed rivets on the reverse side. The finish is toned overall, the high point of the paratrooper style diving eagle has rubbed thin.
