A rare shoulder board being an all black stitch-on shoulder board for an Obersturmbannfuhrer of Pioneer troops. Single black base, one gold rank pip, subdued outer intertwined lace. Due to the lack of contrast between the other arms of service of the SS, being of a totally different colour than the black of pioneer, this shoulder board only has one base level of black.
