GERMAN WWII 1ST PATTERN AFRIKA M.41 VISORED FIELD CAP.

A well service worn example of the classic Afrika Korps enlisted mans visored field cap. Although not size stamped, possibly size 54 or 55. Faint traces of maker’s stampings to the inner red lining but not visible enough to decipher the maker or the actual size. To the exterior there is slight bleaching, the hat is complete with its untouched Bevo woven light tan on blue eagle and matching correct pattern cockade with the black pioneer inverted V waffenfarbe. Much shredding and degrading to the cap at the very rear upper point of the main body, the rear lower bottom edge of front peak trim and severe shredding in the area where the material covering the peak butts up against the main body of the cap, the cardboard former for the peak is visible at this point. Complete with both its correct zinc eyelets on both sides of the cap. A rare example of the pioneer worn Afrika Korps field cap.
