From the estate of Karl Schulz. SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Charles Schulz born February 7th 1905 died February 2nd 1989. An early right wing activist Schulz joined the Marine Brigade Ehardt in 1920, he was an activist in the early days of the NSDAP and came into conflict with the French Occupation Authorities in the Ruhr area. He was one of the founder members of the NSDAP in Gruppe Hamm and later became a member of the SA. He was promoted and demoted a number of times in the late 1920's and early 30's and in June 1932 after joining the SS Schulz was dismissed from the full time occupation as a police officer. He finally reached the rank of SS Obersturmbannfuhrer and was leader of the 19th SS Regiment. He also sat a Deputy in the Reichstag. In 1938 to 1940 he was leader in the Polish Lodz Ghetto. NSDAP Party number 22,175, which is a very low number, SS membership number 15,838 also low. Approximately in 2010 a large quantity of his estate was discovered in Germany, this was all split including some uniform parts and we have a large quantity of the documentation.
