GERMAN WWII POLICE MOTORCYCLE HELMET.

A size '55' police motorcyclists helmet, marked inside the left hand ear flap as the helmet is viewed 'POL 1938' into the leather. The helmet showing very little wear use, all leather skull with its protective neck flap and both ear flaps, with its original drawstring. The liner is complete and in its original bright leather. Some minor scratches to the crash pads on the exterior as our web images show. Complete with its police badge, which is identical to the cap badge. A very similar helmet is shown on page 303 of Uniforms, Organisations on the History of the German Police Volumte 2, the only difference being is that the helmet shown in the image has one central crash pad, our example has a cruciform crash pad system.
