BRITISH WWII MARK 4 HELMET.
A nice condition 1945 dated Mark 4 combat helmet, first worn in combat on the beaches of Normandy in June 1944, this very slowly became the standard British combat helmet for the remainder of WWII and the post war period. Maker marked CCL. The liner is absolutely complete and undamaged, with its adjustable webbing chinstrap. Some slight evidence of rot within the canvas of the chinstrap but at present still firm.
