TURKISH WWI OFFICERS DOUBLE STRAP SAM BROWNE SET.

What appears to be a British made Sam Browne complete with its star and crescent and Arabic acceptance stamps to the leather tab behind the rectangular double pronged buckle, all of the other features of the belt coincide exactly with British made examples. It would appear to have been originally supplied as a single cross strap Sam Browne and with the extra strap added locally in Turkey. An exceptionally rare piece of Turkish combat equipment. Obvious service wear, some slight rotting to the base of the adapted cross strap otherwise everything functions complete with all belt loops and D rings in brass.
