GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE LATE WAR COASTAL ARTILLERY BADGE CITATION.
A very rare field made citation for the Coastal Artillery Badge, dated 12th May 1945 four days after the war had officially ended, awarded to a Gefreiter Rudolf Schubert, to a small last ditch unit on the island of Wangerooge, which commanded the entrance town to the ports of Wilhelmshaven and Cuxhaven. A field issued type, A5 size, punch holed for filing, folded twice with a pencil signature of a Commandant of Wangerooge. The unit rubber stamp has a swastika crossed out. Accompanied by a German Lifesaving Association membership card with a photograph of Schubert in civil dress.
