GERMAN WWII CITATION GROUP THIELE.
A good group of five award citations awarded to Stabsgefreiter Willi Thiele who was a member of the 561st Anti Tank Battalion with self propelled guns, comprising 1st Oktober 1938 Medal dated 22nd June 1940, the Infantry General Assault Badge dated 25th September 41 as a member of 2./BZ.JAG.ABT.561, pen signed by General Major Rittau, Knights Cross Winner 2nd November 1941 as a General Major and was killed in action August 42 in Russia. Wound Badge in black citation dated 1st June 1942, signed by Section Doctor at Reserve Hospital Vienna. The East Front Medal dated 27th July 1942 signed by a Major and Battalion Company Commander. The War Merit Cross 2nd class with sword citation dated 1st September 44, signed by General of Infantry Von Buenau who was awarded the Knights Cross 15th August 1940 and was also the 766th recipient of the Oak Leaves to the Knights Cross awarded 5th March 1945. He was also awarded the German Cross in gold on the 21st January 1943. All citations are punch holed and either single or double folded, the citations are accompanied by three A4 size double sided printed pages of research, both in text and matt form.
