U.S.WWII USMC RAIDER KNIFE.

A good example of the rare U.S.Marine Corps Raider knife, this example having an absolutely superb blade with a good visible U.S.M.C. central script, makers script of Camillus Cutlery Company, Camillus, New York. With virtually every knife that is found it is with great difficulty to read the U.S.M.C.scroll and the Camillus detail, this example is superb, no reprofiling or sharpening of the blade. The cast cross guard and one-piece hilt is suffering from metal degrading on the cross guard section but all of its original form is present. All fitted into the correct scabbard for this knife. Just below the Garrand fixing belt wire system the central section of the hilt retaining strap has split away from the main body of the scabbard, however the hilt retaining strap and its male/female closing stud is complete and working correctly.
