USA WWII CHINA BURMA INDIA BLOOD CHIT.

A very nice and completely original all leather patch measuring 27.5 x 21cms. Multi constructed in cream, red and blue leather with the flag of the United States, Nationalist China with the patch of the China Burma India Air Force Command. To the lower right hand side the lettering in Chinese, which is faint. These Blood Chits were worn either inside the A2 flying jacket or on the exterior, the lettering indicates to local tribes people that this aviator is a member of the allies and has to be treated with courtesy and help. This particular piece has been fitted in a frame for many years, there are drawing pin holes in six places but the colour is still good and the leather is not frail. These are extremely scarce items of a historic campaign of WWII.
