GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE NIGHT HARRASMENT BOMBER PILOTS GROUP OF CITATIONS.

Large just under A4 size twice folded and slightly stained citation for the Pilots badge to Obergefreiten Fritz Bachtle, dated 1st April 1938. A5 size citation, once folded, punch holed for filing to by now Feldwebel Fritz Bachtle to the 1st Storkampfstaffel LW.KDO.OST, awarded 24th February 1943 with pencil signature of the General Major of the 1st Flieger Division. Iron Cross 1st class citation, folded once, punch holed for filing, dated 14th July 1943 with ink signature of the well known First War flyer General Major Ritter von Greim who was Chief of Luft Fleet 6. A5 citation for the Luftwaffe Flying Class for bombers in bronze as a member of the same unit, dated 24.2.1943 with ink signature of Commander of the 1st Flieger Division General Major Deichmann. Large A4 size citation for the Sudetenland medal on the 1st October 1938, promotion document to Oberfeldwebel in A4 size, punch holed for filing, a further promotion document, his linen flying license, which is one piece linen folded item with identification, punch holed for filing, no photograph. Very scarce and interesting grouping. December 1942 the German Luftwaffe decided to form night harassment units, copying those already used by the Soviet Air Force, entitled 1st Storkampfstaffel, they used old aircraft mainly the Gotha and then GO145 bi-plane in a bomber and ground attack role, this group is a pilot flying one of these types aircraft.
