GERMAN THIRD REICH INFANTRY CITATION GROUP.

This is a good group of 6 award certificates, which include two from different units, comprising Infantry Assault Badge in bronze, dated December 1942, signed by Oberstleutnant and Regimental Commander. Wound Badge in silver dated February 1943. The Medal in the East dated October 1942. Iron Cross 2nd Class, dated November 1942, pencil signed by General Major Heinrichs, who was awarded the Knights Cross 13th September 1941. Wound Badge in black, dated 20th December 1941, signed by Oberst Von Erdmannsdorff as an Oberst and Regimental Commander, awarded the Knights Cross 27th February 1942. A second award citation for the wound Badge in black, issued at the reserve hospital for the same wound. All citations in good condition, no punch holes, with some frayed edges and folding to the Infantry Assault Badge and the Wound Badge in silver. Accompanying the group of awards are 8 double sided pages of research on the 6th Company, 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry/Grenadier Regiment that was part of the 18th Infantry Division, with all the action being in the period pertaining to this soldier on the Eastern Front.
