BRITISH MACHINE GUN CORPS FRAMED PICTURE.
An excellent and well defined period photograph clearly showing Machine Gun Corps infantry troops adding water to the cooling jacket of a Vickers machine gun, clearly can be seen are MGCI titles, all three wear Brodie helmets, 02 tunics, trousers and puttees and they are administering the water to the barrel jacket with a can or saucepan-like item. Interestingly the Vickers gun is mounted upon the large tripod, to the front is the quick firing bipod mount still bolted in place. The item is beautifully reframed in a period looking dark oak and gold bordered frame.
