GERMAN WWII M40 HELMET WITH STRING COVER.

A fantastic barn stored helmet being a M40 shell with early M35 liner. Shell is marked SE66, liner in size 58. All 7 tounges are intact upon the supple leather liner, the complete chin strap appears unmarked. The exterior of the helmet carries a subtle camouflage paint finish underneath a salty worn thick grade string cover held on with a metal hook to the rear. A truly iconic looking helmet found in Normandy in 2010.
