GERMAN WWII TOTENKOPF SERVICE PASS AND SERVICE RECORDS.

A rare service pass entitled ‘Dienst Ausweis’ for SS Totenkopfverband, owned by Rudolf Muigg, born 25th June 1921 in Linz, entry into the Totenkopf 1st April 1938. This is a double sided linen card, punch holed for filing with the photograph of Muigg wearing Allgemeine uniform, Totenkopf collar patch with number ‘8’ below, hatless, complete with payment stamp ‘1939’. On the reverse side typed ‘Dachau 3/0 BEI MUNCHEN’ indicating he possibly served at Dachau Concentration Camp. With this rare linen pass there is part of his service record generally held at headquarters, the front page showing Muigg in now Waffen SS uniform, hatless with Totenkopf collar patch showing, black and white twisted cord edging to the tunic. 18 separate individual documents from his service file, all of them punch holed for filing, virtually all of them A4 size, one of the A5 size documents dated ’31.5.38’ indicates he is a member of the 8th MG (SS T.Hundertschaft Oberbayern). A very nice group.
