GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FLIGHT SECTION MANS OR NCO’S CAP.

A very nice condition size 57 saddle shaped visor cap constructed in enlisted ranks material, yellow piping to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band. A matched set of stamped aluminium national eagle and cockade. Leather chinstrap with twin oval buckles. Slight creasing to the finish of the peak but with the commonly encountered double ribbed edge. To the interior the sweatband is intact with evidence of much wear use. Russet brown interior lining with the centre lozenge missing but the faint remains of the gold blocked lettering for the company Robert Lubstein still visible. Dated ‘1936’ with an original name ‘Feldwebel Forster’ hand applied to the russet brown brushed cotton material. Nicely unit marked in ink block to the interior of the sweatband, which appears to be ‘FL.GR.’ with a series of three numbers, unfortunately the ink has run of the numbers.
