On of the most difficult caps to find of the Luftwaffe being the pink piped enlisted and nco mans visor cap, this example approximately size 56 constructed in officer quality material. Two very minor moth nips to the crown, no other moth damage or staining. The pink piping stands out proudly against the black mohair centre band and the blue grey material of the crown of the cap. A matching set of Luftwaffe eagle and national cockade. Standard Luftwaffe chinstrap with the most commonly encountered double ribbed edge to the peak. The interior lining has good original light tan colour, the material of the sweatband is of the ersatz material with the majority of its original Schellenberg Sonderklasse central celluloid lozenge remaining with the name of ‘Unteroffizier R.Baur’ to a small slip of paper in the aperture of the lozenge.
