GERMAN WWII M.40 SINGLE DECAL LUFTWAFFE COMBAT HELMET.

Unusually the shell is unmarked on this small size helmet, we estimate the shell size to be 62, it retains most of its original finish with slight rust bleed at the rear of the skull. The Luftwaffe decal is slightly subdued but good and clear with one scratch to the right hand wing. The original liner is intact, but the tips of every tongue appear to have been burnt off. There remainder of the liner has evidence of heavy wear use but good colour, with both sections of its chinstrap, but the long section has broken with the remains of the long section still buckled into the short section buckle.
