GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN FELT PICKELHAUBE, BATTLE DAMAGED.

A very nice condition all one-piece felt shell, totally undamaged, strong and firm with the non removable brass spike and circular spike base present, which matches the Prussian front plate perfectly. Complete with its national and State cockades, original chinstrap with matching brass fittings. To the interior the 9 tongued liner is virtually complete, the tip of one of the tongues is missing. Regimental markings in the back peak appear to be ‘JR16’ Prussian Infantry Regiment no.16. to the very tip of the spike a small hole where the point has been struck by either a passing round or a section of shrapnel.
