ENGLISH 1916 DATED PATTERN 07 BAYONET.

A very nice condition 07 bayonet, beautiful blade with the last section heavily blued to match the bluing of the cross guard, muzzle ring and upper pommel. Clearly marked over over ‘1907’ Wilkinson’ name, dated ‘1916’, to the opposite side various other proof stamps. Undamaged wood grips. Pommel stamped ‘RB’ which would indicate Rifle Brigade. Bayonet retaining lug in position and working correctly. Fitted into its good leather scabbard with all finish remaining to the metal bottom chape, fitted with its now scarce 1914 leather frog.
