GERMAN WWII WAFFEN SS PANZER M.43 CAP.

A seriously combat worn and washed out and faded Waffen SS Panzer M.43 cap. The cap size is approximately size 57, has faded considerably, the late war Panzer material because of the vegetable dyes had a purple hue to the colour even when new, this has subsequently been heavily washed, cleaned and faded and has an exaggerated purple hue. The material protected by the side curtains has still much of its original black with its simple purple hue intact. The Waffen SS Bevo woven eagle and cockade attached in the cross hatched style, single button front. The peak board liner has distorted through severe wetness, various nicks to the interior black cotton lining with some rust staining. A superb example of a heavy battle worn SS Panzer M.43 cap .
