IMPERIAL GERMAN BRUNSWICK MILITARY OFFICIAL’S VISOR CAP.

A post 1917 visor cap in field grey green enlisted ranks quality cloth with apple green piping to the crown and to the centre band. In the area between the centre band and the main body of the cap two rows of waffenfarbe, the lowest one being yellow, the higher being blue. The standard imitation buckle strap of the post 17 cap. The cockades are the Reich cockade, officer quality and the lower cockade being of the State of Brunswick. To the interior ersatz type sweatband all complete and undamaged with its waterproof inner upper crown and russet brown cotton sides with a small centre celluloid lozenge water protected impregnated, marked ‘Wasser Dicht Impragniert’ (water protective). No moth damage anywhere. After considerable research we concluded this is a military official from the Duchy of Brunswick.
