GERMAN WWI M.16 TRENCH HELMET.

A very fine example of the classic M.16 trench helmet retaining virtually of its original apple green paint finish with minor abrasions. Stamped ‘GBN’ with the last digit of the shell size being indistinct, we estimate 64. The interior liner with all its three double tongued pads in excellent supple condition, two of the pads retain their original horsehair pads, one is missing. The original drawstring is intact fitted to the M.16 leather band. Two individual names hand inscribed to the rear of the helmet.
