GERMAN WWI LARGE SIZE PRUSSIAN PICKELHAUBE.

An unusually large size all leather enlisted ranks pickelhaube for a Prussian infantryman. The skull in good condition with slight crazing, both front and rear peaks securely attached to the main body with congealing to the leather on both peaks. All of the fittings in brass match, standard front Prussian plate, original chinstrap and correct national and state cockades. Minor kinks to the interior of the front peak trim. The interior 9 tongued liner all present, minor weavel nips to the leather liner, with its original drawstring. Faint traces of manufacturers circular stamp, good stampings for Regiment 143 to the rear peak and faint traces of other markings, which are difficult to decipher, other markings have been semi erased contemporarily. It is difficult to obtain a large size enlisted ranks pickelhaube in this condition regimentally marked.
