GERMAN WWII SS DOUBLE DECAL M35 HELMET.

A nice ET66 apple green interior shell with original owner’s name applied in white paint. To the exterior an apple green hand painted finish. Standard M.35 shell. The helmet was original issued as a factory finished apple green helmet, had possibly be returned to a refurbishment depot and had been over-painted by hand with decals then reapplied. Looking very closely through an eye glass at the SS runic decal the decal covers hand applied painted lines. To the swastika side the evidence of another decal originally fitted is visible. Various abrasions to the skull as can be seen on our web images and to the decals, this process is commonly encountered, the decals are 100% original to this helmet. The interior liner all complete showing much wear use with its original drawstring. The chinstrap is complete to both sides but broken in the centre. Aluminium liner band dated ‘1938’.
