GERMAN PRE WAR 26 DRAGOON OFFICERS DRESS GREATCOAT.

A beautiful quality pre war very light field grey greatcoat for a Hauptmann in the 26 Dragoons. The garment is totally free of any moth or staining. Blue collar with light yellow interior lining. Bullion silver wire shoulder boards with the intertwined black and red colour for Wurttemberg. Heavily gilded motifs for the 26 Dragoons with two rank pips to each shoulder board. The letter ‘Z’ is machine embroidered to a small tablet and placed within the upper inner collar area maybe an indication of the name of the wearer, however there is an old label attached by string to the collar with a name applied, whether this is the name of the original owner of this greatcoat and the group in it entirety is unknown to us.
