GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN FIELD MARSHALL’S SHOULDER BOARD.

An extremely rare Prussian Field Marshall’s shoulder board of WWI. Huge size board measuring 15cm in length, 6cm in width with its central crossed Field Marshall’s batons, which are both finely detailed. Prussian silver fleck within the silver section of the lace, the red underlay cloth slightly stained. There were only 25 Field Marshalls of the Imperial German period from 1871 to 1918 and many of those were foreign dignitaries as Honorary Field Marshalls. The source and ownership of this board is unknown.
