GERMAN WWI M.16 TRENCH HELMET.

A good example of an SI66 marked helmet, very faint traces of camouflage finish remaining, all original rivets. The M.16 liner band all in place with its three leather pads, all of which have their inner horsehair pads complete. The leather liner band has rotted around the front left hand rivet subsequently causing the liner band to be loose within the inner bowl. Two of the leather pads are slightly split at their join with the main leather liner band. All three have their inner horsehair pads.
