BRITISH PRE WWI EDWARDIAN HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY SHAKO.

A very nice condition last pattern shako for an enlisted mans in the Highland Light Infantry. The main body and the red, white and green dicing of officer quality. Complete with its other ranks Highland Light Infantry Edwardian period badge, white nickel thistle above laid onto its woven circular boss. Complete with green circular pompom. The dicing with good colour, standard leather peak, all other woven fitments complete and with its scarce original chinstrap, which are quite often missing as they are frail. Enlisted ranks leather liner. To the upper inner crown area the original maker’s label of ‘Jacobson Army Contractor’ with the date of ‘1900’. No moth damage to the main body of the shako.
